WE SPIT ON THEIR GRAVES - Sutcliffe Jugend [CSR18CD]. Available from Cold Spring Records, 8 Wellspring, Blisworth, Northants., NN7 3EH, England.

ABRASIVE but persuasive, the outfit with one of the best names in the business has finally re-released the angriest tracks from its 1982 10-cassette boxset on the Come Organisation label. Repellent and endearing to the very last, these well ordered but anarchic recordings conjure up a veritable paraphernalia of terrifyingly fearful and murderous images. Mercilessly bombarding the listener with a cruel and heartless barrage of rumbles, screeches, television news reports, echoes, demented screams and police radio messages, Sutcliffe Jugend will - at the very least - lower the Market value of every house in your street. In short, like a hammer on the back of an unsuspecting prostitute’s skull this brutal exercise in Extreme Power Electronics will assail your ears with a gut-wrenching ferocity that no other project of this kind can possibly hope to match.
