A nemesis relief

You were the first one
The uncreated who created me
And I honor you with pain
and call you by your name:
Nemesis.
I want out.
And I see
upon the penultimate knockout blow
among the faint glimmerings of suns through trees held sideways
to the earth against my bloodied ear
that the much sought-for egress
is you.
